NATE'S FINAL THOUGHTS ON NO SOCKS IN THE MEAT COOLER.
This comic was a lot of fun to do, at first. Then it became a bit like a chore. Then it became a hindrance. The webcomic scene is completely fucked up, with artists worrying more about fan base, rather than art and story. It's become increasingly apparent that a story means nothing as long as you appeal to whatever nameless asshole has slavish dedication to your comic. I was never able to achieve that kind of readership, because I refused to cater to any one fanbase. I wanted to create something that anyone could read, and not be labeled because of. I didn't achieve anything other than a minimal cult-status because of that.
And with the new strip coming, I hope that's exactly what I get this time, too.
Cheers,
Nate
